Radha, an 11-year-old immigrant in America, is on a family visit to India. Radha wrestles with the complexities of identity while navigating the bodily changes of puberty. In their journey of self-discovery, Radha finds themselves caught amid their parents' discord. Having lived abroad, their parents face the challenge of reconciling traditional Indian values with their aspirations of a different lifestyle. As they endeavour to harmonise their contemporary perspectives with their longstanding beliefs, they seek assistance from Radha's uncle, astrology, and time-honoured rituals, hoping to find 'remedies' for what they believe to be a curse that is 'distorting' their child’s mindset.
