In this fairytale-of-sorts, Ritika and Mohit, stranded in the middle of nowhere, chance upon a hairless, genderless being. It can bond with anyone willing to give it attention, love, and kindness. Once a bond is built, the being transforms into a brand new human, bearing a soul identical to that of the bonder. Besides gender, this new person shares no other physical attributes. Needless to say, this transformation brings waves of conflict in Ritika and Mohit’s relationship, some inconsequential, some catastrophic.

Director

Karan Gour

Karan Gour was born in New Delhi, but grew up in Kodaikanal, a little hill station in southern India. His first feature film was a black-and-white, $10,000, truly independent psychological drama called 'Kshay (2011)'. It had a two member crew (the cinematographer, and Karan himself), which he wrote, directed, edited, and composed for. Kshay went on to be a breakthrough, critically-acclaimed debut. Karan's second feature film, 'Fairy Folk (2022)', premiered at the Sydney Film Festival, 2022, albeit with more resources than he ever had on Corrode. It went on to compete for the Q-Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival, 2022. Between films, Karan composes background scores for films such as Titli, NH10, and the soon-to-be-released Amazon TV show called 'Shehar Lakhot'.
