An ex theatre actor and advertising professional, Dibakar started his professional career in advertising working in agencies in New Delhi and San Francisco before deciding to come back to India and become a filmmaker. Dibakar has learnt filmmaking on the job - doing odd jobs on sets such working in production and editing, though his primary love of the arts comes from writing. Dark comedies are his favourite genre.
