Consulate General of Ireland

Ireland’s beautiful landscapes, rich traditions and cultural heritage have inspired filmmakers from John Ford to Kabir Khan. Irish directors, actors, and production houses have punched well above their weight in recent Academy Awards ceremonies, while multi-million movie franchises like Star Wars and prestige TV shows such as Game of Thrones have brought our emerald fields, picturesque cottages and windswept coasts to a global audience.
Of course, it helps that Ireland has made itself “one of the world’s most attractive production environments” (Variety Magazine), with a generous 32% tax credit, world-class film studios, and a plethora of home-grown talent.
