Dimensions Mumbai is a competitive short film section of the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. Filmmakers above 18 and below 25 years from all over India are invited to submit films on the theme of Mumbai. The films must be no longer than 5 minutes in duration and must be filmed in the city of Mumbai. A selection of shortlisted films will be screened at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

Dimensions Mumbai was first introduced at MAMI in 2009 by Ms Jaya Bachchan. Since then, it has become one of the most sought-after sections at the festival. Many filmmakers who have won at Dimensions Mumbai have gone on to direct feature films and web-series.

Over the years, Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films has elevated the art of short films, championing select and distinctive original narratives for discerning viewers. Through collaborations with successful storytellers known for their originality and creativity, we've established a dynamic environment where aspiring and established directors alike bring exceptional storytelling to curious audiences.

In our commitment to curating genre-defining masterpieces, in association with Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films, we bring to you #ForTheSelectOnes, a platform which celebrates the craftspeople who are ready to script the next chapter of select storytelling.

We invite you to craft the next chapter by submitting your short film (up to 20 minutes) in any genre for the MAMI Royal Stag Barrel Select Large Short Films Contest. 10 shortlisted entries will be showcased at the prestigious MAMI Mumbai Film Festival and select storytellers will be awarded special prizes.
